Yea, I said it ...

          I have a theory: Agnostics are just would be believers in Christ that are too lazy to dig deep into the spiritual riches available to them. Atheists are just obstinate, arrogant and inflexible. The sad part about that is that there are many professed Christians who would also fit these descriptions. We all need to wake up and look to expand our knowledge regarding spiritual things as they relate to Almighty God.  

            Why are Christians always portrayed as the intolerant, belligerent, deceitful ones in society? Isn't that lumping all Christians under one stereotype? I think we're ALL a bit too hyper-sensitive. To a certain extent I think we're all closed minded and selfish. Acceptance isn't something we're very good at. Let's be honest, none of us are terribly good at accepting anyone that is in some way different than we are. 

             Christ wouldn't act the way we do. We're all supposed to attempt to imitate our Savior, but we would rather take the easy road. We're human. We're frail. We're stubborn. We're immature. We're worry warts. We're all the things God says we no longer need to be. Aren't we listening? Don't we care how we're thinking, speaking or acting? We need to start. Now. Assess your life. Learn to be selfless ... (hint: it's not easy at all). Learn to place your faith solely in "Christ, the author and finisher of our faith" (Hebrews 12:2). 

              Don't blame God for everything that's wrong with your life; you made the decisions, without his input most likely. Take your faith off the shelf, dust it off and put it on like a garment of great value. Christ didn't die so you could go stumbling down the same pathways. He died to give you new life. One free from the sins that have unknowingly hung around your neck like a millstone all your life. Don't make the grace (undeserved favor), that God has bestowed upon us, for granted. Don't trample it underfoot like a pig in a muddy pen. Be like Joshua who said in Joshua 45:15, "But if it is unpleasing in your sight to serve the Lord, choose for yourselves this day whom you will serve, ... As for me and my house, we will serve the Lord!' You must choose whom you will serve in this life. Choose wisely ... Your future depends on it. rlkeller
