I have called 2014 a year of assessment. Believers the world over should assess their walk with Christ to see if it is wanting in any way. Are we are close to the Lord as we could be? What undesirable characteristics do we display that might keep others from God? What can I do better? We can't do any of this by ourselves. It's meant to be done in the form of a conversation with God. Not a monologue, where we do all the talking, but a dialogue where we do some listening. Remember, we will never learn anything new while we're talking. Learning only takes place when we both listen and hear what's being said to us. Who better to learn from than Almighty God.
