"Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus." Philippians 4:6-7
Is it wrong for believers to become anxious about impending circumstances that arise? We are told specifically in scripture not to be anxious, but we do. Are we sinning? Some would say YES. I say "Hold it right there." We aren't perfect. Yes, in God's economy we needn't worry or be anxious for anything. But this is a learned attribute and not something that comes very easily at times. It is as we spend time with the Lord that we find out first hand about His trustworthy nature and begin to allow the anxiousness to dissipate. rlkeller
